OOppps….Well…. It’s been just crazy busy here since I last made a post way back in August, how time flies, every week intending to blog about what I’m up to…. This will change as of NOW… I’m back !!
The past 4 months have been taken up with so many projects that I’m involved with mainly away from the IM. Most my time in taken up running several ecommerce sites in the UK, so the run up to xmas is always a vital part of the year. However this year I came to the realisation that it’s time for me to change the business model completely over the next few months and move away from having a warehouse full of stock and focus more on drop shipping the lines that are profitable and moving away from the lower margin products. (For far too many years now.. all my cash has been tied up in a warehouse with stock….no more!!) Leaving much more time to focus on my new search marketing business, and of course my Internet Marketing business.
One of my goals this year was to go attend an Internet Marketing seminar in the UK and on Wednesday night spotted that Lee Mcintyre had an event on soon but really couldn’t find any definite info about the details, I submitted a support ticket on his site and that was that… thought…. my usual luck.. Heard about it too late…. This always seems to happen. Anybody know where there is a list of decent IM Events in UK?? Not me..
The week had been pretty normal in the office.. Working like crazy on my ecommerce businesses and a few other projects we have going on. (planning to post to this blog every day, but the day to day business is taking too much of my time… as usual) ended in the maddest 3 days ever, I had a extremely exciting meeting booked for Thursday afternoon with a new Etailer in the UK called www.pricelover.com, I’ve been advising them prelaunch on SEO strategies and I was asked to go over to their “swanky” head offices..NOT…they are launching from a home office in one of the directors houses. The directors have done this twice before and built the businesses into hugely successful companies and each time sold them on for crazy money. So had a great meeting and they went live soon after I left … Please take a look around their site, if you’re a components junkie and you live in the UK… trust me !!
My First Video on youtube – Scary stuff… but it’s done.
By · CommentsHi,
Well its been crazy busy here in the office with my day job (Even though I work for myself…) its so tough finding time to commit to this blog and my Internet Marketing Journey, trying to keep up with my Alex Jeffrey coaching but slipping behind fast, think I’m about 2 weeks behind now. The latest part of the puzzle I’ve been learning about is creating videos online and just watched and listened to a fantastic webinar with “The Video Marketing Queen” – Maria Andros, take a look at YouTube, she has just about cracked a Million dollars online just through using video, I highly recommend you take a good look round her channel Maria Andros
Very informative, very straight forward and lots of great content and pointers to get your first video up and running, so today I’ve spent nearly all day shooting my first video… who would think it would be so nerve racking.. had several takes but after 3 attempts decided I should just upload and get it “out there”. The main problem I had was not so much shooting the video it was adding the text to the video, the intro and credit bits.
Here goes…
My first ever post on my blog. The idea behind this blog is for me to use it to record my journey over the next 12 months applying traffic driving techniques to create passive income streams earning $500 a day on the internet via internet marketing. My background over the last few years has been in the ecommerce marketplace in the UK and a small amount of consulting on SEO.
The intention is to use what I’ve learnt over the last few years in my ecommerce businesses and from working with my clients. Using these traffic methods and seo techniques I intend to drive traffic to affiliate offers and information products thereby creating a passive income online. I will be posting tips, pdfs and videos of exactly what I’m doing and why I’m doing it.
Also, to make this a little bit more fun “for me” ;- ), I’m also going to set another goal of achieving a single figure handicap at golf.(I’m a 24 at the moment) The theory is the more successful I am at Internet Marketing the more time it will give me to play golf and work on my handicap !!!
